In late 2002, Formula One Administration Ltd. lost its official F1 license to Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, which entered into an exclusive licensing contract.
Due to the fact that no developer, EA included, was able to make games based on these later seasons, it was decided to make one final game combining the four seasons that EA Sports had previously licensed.
Gameplay may resemble both F1 Challenge ’99-’02 and F1 Career Challenge. A career mode is unique to this F1 game. The model is based on four Formula One seasons: 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2002.
