150 years in the future, war and destruction have left the world in ruins with few people remaining and nature reclaiming the world. A fleet of mysterious slave ships harvests the dwindling population and takes them out west.
An ingenious young woman is imprisoned on a slave ship but manages to escape using her mental powers. As a result of his raw power and brawn, Monkey also gets free.
Trip quickly realizes that Monkey is her only chance to survive her perilous journey home and is her ticket to freedom. A slave headband is hacked and fitted to Monkey, thus linking them together.
